Oh my avocado.
Here's our 1 year update. Izzy turned one exactly one week ago and it's a little crazy!
Izzy can...
- walk (RIGHT HOLY COW)
- climb off the couch by herself (she can't climb onto the couch however)
- turn the light switch on and off if we lift her to the correct height...
- kiss
- put her own pacifier in
- sleep through the night
- drink water from her own cup--both the dentist approved sip cup and a normal cup (albeit messily)
- throw things on purpose
- signal to pick her up
- signal for more food
- clap a lot
- dance by bouncing
- high five
- wave
- other things that are not coming to mind right now???
- say mama
- almost say papa
- say yeah
- say hi
- play peekaboo
- cry on purpose without being sad
Izzy likes...
- taking baths
- snow
- playing with other babies
- walking everywhere
- showing off
- dancing to music
- "sharing" food
- eating
- going on walks
- walking toys
- toys that have buttons and balls
- drinking water
Izzy eats...
- avocado
- half formula / half milk bottles
- bananas (she can actually hold a banana in her hand!)
- raspberries
- blackberries
- egg
- pasta
- pizza
- tofu
- rice
- lots of rice
- baby snacks
- hummus
- salmon
We are...
- better rested
- happy
- getting used to saying "no"
- eating better
- spending more time together
- getting used to each other's schedules
- loving life
- teaching dance
- going to school
- working part time
- hoping this all slows down
I'm completely healed at this point. Although, I have been for a while. I can dance with my whole body as of a couple of months ago which is GREAT! I haven't felt like this since before Iz and, even then, not exactly like I used to. (: Still, her being a year is kind of weird. It felt like just yesterday we were in the hospital with her. She's so energetic and smiley now and we couldn't be happier.
That being said, it's snowing pretty hard right now and classes are cancelled everywhere. I'm praying for a snow day tomorrow so we can all stay in and play outside! Wouldn't that be something. (:
